The Blues Defenders brought it! We love you guys! Wendy DeWitt and Kirk Harwood started things off with a bang. It was a shame she had to open, to get to another gig, because too many people missed their awesome set. Many fabulous musicians sat in with the Blues Defenders throughout the day. Susan St. Clair declared it the best pick-up band ever. 😉 Walk-ons included: Mandy Brooks, Levi Lloyd, Steve Black, Brad Wilson, Cliff Conway and more. The place was hopping for six hours!
Kate Flynn won the costume contest. Four lucky people walked away with $25 or $50 in restaurant gift certificates. Last but not least, the raffle winner is . . .
Last three digits are 828. If that’s you, you just won the beautiful Claddagh rings from Timothy Patrick Jewelers. Email us a picture of your winning ticket and we’ll get the rings to you.
We count on your support!
We raised a little dough for the cause. Just a reminder, though, that this is the ONLY fundraiser we do. If you were unable to attend, please consider visiting the tip jar on the site. The calendar is a labor of love, but it helps to feel the love. We covered our hard costs this year, but not our time, which includes about 20 hours a month year-round and at least another 40 hours putting together the fundraiser. If you appreciate the time we’re saving you, please contribute what you can.
And a great big thank you to everyone who came and everyone who visits the tip jar or digs into their pockets for us throughout the year. It means a lot.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
We’d like to thank the Blues Defenders and all the other musicians who sat in. And Cheryl Nixon and all her staff at Friar Tucks for being such great hosts.
